Chochev brings victory for Ludogorets at the start

Ludogorets started the 2026/27 season with a victory. The "Eagles" defeated Lokomotiv Plovdiv 1-0 in Razgrad. Ivaylo Chochev scored late in the first half, capitalising on an excellent cross from Simeon Shishkov and leaving Boyan Milosavljevic with no chance.

The match marked the debut for Ludogorets' new coach, Thomas Reis, who started with an important success.

The "Eagles" had more goalscoring opportunities, with Rwan Cruz coming closest in the second half.

The visitors from Plovdiv played strongly and created several clear-cut chances, but goalkeeper Hendrik Bonmann intervened brilliantly to keep all three points in Razgrad.

On Thursday, Ludogorets will visit Hapoel Tel Aviv in Hungary for a match in the second qualifying round of the Conference League.
