The management of PFC Ludogorets has sent a request to the President of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFS), Georgi Ivanov, and the President of the Bulgarian Professional Football League (BPFL), Atanas Karaivanov, calling for the convening of a working meeting with the participation of the clubs from the First Professional League and representatives of the Licensing, Sports and Technical, and Refereeing Commissions. The aim of the meeting is to discuss current issues faced by the clubs at the beginning of the year and ahead of the resumption of the championship and the Bulgarian Cup tournament.
“This proposal of ours is also prompted by the expected closely contested matches at the start of the second half of the First Professional League season, the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final of the Bulgarian Cup tournament, as well as our sincere hopes that they will be played on excellent pitches and in the spirit of fair play. We would also like to discuss the dates for the quarterfinal and final stages of the Bulgarian Cup tournament, as well as the start of the 2026/27 season.
We wish the employees of the BFS, the BPFL, and all professional football clubs happy and peaceful holiday days, as well as success in the coming year,” the letter also states.
