The ex-Ludogorets player Radoslav Komitov, who is currently a coach at the academy, was appointed as its new director. He takes over the position after Yakov Paparkov was transferred to the scouts department.

Komitov will take over the position in the beginning of December. He will be guiding the U19 team until then.

Valentin Stanchev is currently in the position. He is the head coach of the children and youth academy. The ex-player will continue searching for talents for the academy.

Radoslav Komitov was born in Popovo, but his career began in FC Etar (Veliko Tarnovo), shortly after which he was included in the youth national team. He was part of Oberhausen’s team as well. Komitov is part of Ludogorets’ team composition which made it possible for the team to be transferred into the A-group of the Bulgarian championship in 2011. After the same season Komitov decided to become an assistant coach in Svetkavitsa (Targovishte) where he worked with Nikola Spasov and Georgi Georgiev. A year later Komitov joined the Ludogorets Academy where he was very successful.

He became the champion with the U15 team in 2015 and the U17 team in 2017. His team is the only one in the history of Ludogorets without a loss throughout the whole championship. The team won 25 games and achieved an even score in the other five.
