Ludogorets won 1:0 in the rematch against Sutjeska in the first preliminary round of the Champions League. The Eagles continue ahead in the tournament with a combined 3:0 score. Sotiriou scored the winning goal in the 53^rd minute. Despodov passed the ball to Nedyalkov. Cauly stole the ball and tried to score, but the gatekeeper kicked it back. Sotiriou stole the ball and scored.

There are several other goal situations as well, but Despodov, Tekpetey, and Sotiriou all missed their chances.

The home team made it difficult for Ludogorets to win. Padt and the champion defenders managed to protect their gate from Sutjeska.
