Ludogorets secured a 1:0 victory over Botev Vratsa. In the 27th minute, Stanislav Ivanov tested Dimitar Evtimov’s reflexes, but the goalkeeper made the save. Around the half-hour mark, Mounir made a brilliant run through the center and found Ivanov again, who still couldn’t convert the chance. Botev Vratsa only threatened once in the first half—through Daniel Genov—but his shot was caught by goalkeeper Bonmann.
In the 49th minute, Son delivered a perfect cross to Chochev, who had a clear chance but shot straight at Evtimov. Ten minutes later, Genov once again escaped Ludogorets’ defense and attempted a clever finish, but luck wasn’t on his side. In the 72nd minute, Emerson went one-on-one with Evtimov, but the home side’s goalkeeper pulled off a brilliant one-handed save.
The real drama, however, came at the very end.
In the 94th minute, Son sent in a cross, and in an attempt to beat Petar Stanic to the ball, Antoan Stoyanov accidentally scored an own goal—handing all three points to Ludogorets and sending them back to Razgrad with the win.
