The Ludogorets U18 team kicked off their participation in the prestigious International Youth Football Tournament "Football Friends" with a strong performance and an important victory. On the pitch in the town of Foca, Bosnia and Herzegovina, they played their first official match against the local team "Sutjeska Foca." The quarterfinal clash ended in success for the players from Razgrad, who secured a 2–0 win. The victory was delivered by Ilian Gatinski, who scored both goals.
The tournament draw placed Ludogorets' talented youngsters in the same group as Sutjeska Foca, Buducnost from Montenegro, and Vojvodina from Novi Sad. The semifinal match of the tournament is scheduled for tomorrow, where the young "Eagles" will face the winner of the Buducnost vs. Vojvodina game.
The 19th edition of the "Football Friends" tournament features football talents from the Ludogorets Academy, born in 2008 and 2009. They are led by coaches Hristo Zlatinski and Milen Marinov. The sports competition brings together eight strong teams from various countries, and the final winner will be determined on July 27.
