The elite Ludogorets U16 players lost 1-0 to FCSB (Bucharest). This was their first mistake during the winter preparations, which came in the friendly match played in Bucharest.
The only goal of the match came in the 44th minute. It was scored at a time when it seemed the Ludogorets players were about to take advantage of a clear opportunity in front of the opponent's goal. However, instead of taking the lead, a clearance by an opposing player and a well-organized counterattack led to the winning goal. Throughout both halves, the Elite "Eagles" had several clear chances, but they were unable to convert them. Yastiyan Georgiev, Dzhem Andonov, Stanislav Ivanov, Nikolay Popov, and Vasil Ivanov all missed their chances to score.
"Today we played a useful friendly match, in which we had some good moments, but we also saw elements that we will refine during the winter preparation," said Ludogorets U16 head coach Milen Marinov.
His players have the opportunity to defend their good performance with a better result against the same Romanian opponent next Saturday. The friendly match will be played at the "Eagle's Nest" complex.
