Ludogorets took down Shakhtyor in the 92nd minute

Ludogorets defeated 1:0 Shakhtyor Soligorsk in the first preliminary round of the Champions League.

Ludogorets defeated 1:0 Shakhtyor Soligorsk in the first preliminary round of the Champions League. The Bulgarian champions hit the woodwork twice. Cauly scored the winning goal. The rematch will be in Belgrad after a week.

Tekpetey tried to score first in the fifth minute. Six minutes later, he did the same, but Cauly stole the ball. His goal attempt was not successful, though. Cauly passed the ball to Despodov next, and he almost sent it into the competitor’s net.

Cauly tried to score once again in the 20th minute but the gatekeeper intervened. Despodov hit the woodwork soon after that.

Ludogorets was close to scoring in the 47th minute when Nedyalkov sent the ball to Keseru who outplayed a couple of players and forwarded the ball to Tekpetey. The Ghanaian sent it straight into Khutor’s arms. Despodov and Nedyalkov’s combination minutes later was also ended by the gatekeeper.

Tekpetey tried to score again in the 57th minute, but the keeper kicked the ball out. Verdon had a good chance to score, but the left gate beam saved Khutor. Wanderson and Sotiriou entered the pitch followed by Manu 20 minutes before the end.

Manu passed the ball to Wanderson in the 77th minute, but Khutor caught the ball again. Sotiriou scored in the 79th minute but the goal was cancelled because of an offside. Ikoko passed the ball to Tchibota later, but he sent it out.

Cauly was unstoppable in the 92nd minute when he received the ball from Tchibota and the player scored the winning goal.
