Ludogorets defeated Botev and achieved a record

Ludogorets defeated 1:0 Botev, which was the seventh game in which the champions did not let a goal in their gate.

Ludogorets defeated 1:0 Botev, which was the seventh game in which the champions did not let a goal in their gate. This is a club record! The game was also the ninth consecutive win under Stanislav Genchev’s guidance.

The coach had a hard time assembling the team because Keseru, Lukoki, Tchibota, Nedyalkov and Grigore were out.

Ludogorets scored in the 7th minute when Marcelinho passed to Jorginho who scored easily. Biton tried to score from the foul point seven minutes later but the keeper kicked the ball back. The home team responded in the 22nd minute when Baltanov tried to score with his head but Manolev interfered. Tonev had the chance to score five minutes later but the goalkeeper did a great job saving! Tonev received a great pass once again but Terziev caught up with him and the ex-CSKA player could not take advantage of the situation.

Forster knocked down Tonev in the 55th minute. The fans demanded a red card for the Brazilian because Terziev covered him. Nedelev kicked the ball from the foul point after that, but Iliev saved. Marcelinho attempted a goal later but the goalkeeper caught the ball. Swierczok outplayed Dimitrov later and passed to Wanderson, but the keeper Georgiev had no trouble saving. Pervan passed to Shopov in the 62nd minute but the following situation did not result in a goal. Baltanov tried to score with his head six minutes later but the goalkeeper saved once again.

В 87-ата минута Ботев отново беше близо до изравняването. Неделев центрира добре от фаул, а Фернандо Виана стреля с глава. Пламен Илиев застина на едно място, но пък ударът на бразилеца не намери очертанията.

Botev was close to making the score even in the 87th minute after Viani almost scored but the ball went outside the gate.
