Ludogorets was able to make an important step towards the development of the technical staff of the club. One of the conditioning specialists from Diego Simeone’s team at Atletico (Madrid) – Ivan Rafael Diaz - joined the club. Diaz spent the last twelve years working for the current UEFA Europa League champions. He was born in 1978 and has some previous experience at Real (Madrid) and Getafe.

The Bulgarian football fans that monitored closely Atletico’s performance probably saw Diaz leading the warm-up session prior to the Europa League final against Marseille at the Lion stadium on 16th of May 2018.

Diaz will take care of the conditioning status of PFC Ludogorets alongside Ian Coll, who also joined the team recently. The purpose of this new assignment is to ensure that only highly qualified professionals are in charge of the team’s conditioning activities, which is expected to increase the team’s capabilities and prepare the players for the European club tournaments.

Ivan Diaz will join Dimitar Dimitrov’s staff on Monday.
