Ludogorets proved who the real boss is in First league! ‘The Eagles’ defeated 2:0 Levski, and the score could have been even more impressive. Levski is not on the same level and they cannot fight for the title. The champions arrived to Sofia with the intention to win and they applied pressure to Levski from the very first minute and proved that they were the better players. Levski played good, actually, but their competitor was better.

Stoycho Stoev made a couple of changes to the team compared to the previous game. The team captain Dyakov and Wanderson were included in the main composition, taking Anicet and Popa’s places.

The guest team dominated the game since it started and attacked immediately. They applied pressure and it worked, as Levski found it hard to be in control of the ball. Reis made a mistake in the 8th minute and Yusein passed to Wanderson. The Brazilian tried to score by sending the ball between the keeper’s legs, but he was able to save. Cicinho sent the ball to Keseru who tried to score with his head but he hit the woodwork instead. Levski responded and they created a nice attack in the 19th minute when Mariani passed to Kostov and he sent it to Paulinho. Cicinho was faster than him and he stopped him with a split. Raynov was outplayed by Marcelinho in his half and he sent it to Keseru. The Romanian passed to Marcelinho, who was between Reis and Jablonsky, who tried to kick the ball out with a split. However, it made a ricochet in Marcelinho’s foot and entered the gate! Levski had their best chance after that. Tiam passed to Kostov who was alone against Iliev, but the angle he tried to score from was not good and the keeper saved! Mariani was faster than Cicinho in the 35th minute and Serkan passed to Paulinho, but the Brazilian was not able to receive the ball. Ludogorets was very close to a second goal seconds after that, but Keseru’s attempt was not accurate.

Reish lost control over the ball in the 52nd minute and a second later Wanderson was alone against Mihaylov, but he missed the gate. 11 minutes later Levski’s coach Dermendzhiev replaced Raynov with Bus but this did not make a change. Tiam made a mistake in the 84th minute and allowed Swierczok to be in a good position. The Polish player had to pass to someone but decided to go for it himself which was a mistake. Levski had their last chance a minute before the end when Mariani sent a powerful shot but Cicinho stopped the ball with his body. The added time was when Swierczok passed to Lukoki who passed by Goranov and scored the second goal in the game. Swierczok had the chance to score in the very end, but he sent the ball into Goranov’s head instead of the gate.
