Ludogorets defeated 1:0 Torpedo (Kutaisi) in the first Europa League playoff. The rematch will be next Thursday in Razgrad. The important goal was scored by Wanderson in the 45th minute with some help by Marcelinho. Ludogorets dominated the game, but the home team were able to make things hard for Autuori’s players with their aggressive approach.

Torpedo actually scored a goal in the first minute, but it was canceled due to an offside. Marcelinho created the first dangerous attack in the 13th minute. The Brazilian outplayed two defenders, but he sent the ball above the crossbar. A couple of minutes later he passed to Misidjan who was able to kick the ball low, but the keeper saved. Wanderson passed to Campanharo in the 28th minute and he received the ball with his head, and the following shot sent the ball close to the gate. Marcelinho and Wanderson passed the ball between a few times between them. Wanderson kicked the ball with his left foot and literally sent it flying in the other team’s gate from about eight meteres.

Dopidze received a pass behind Natanael’s back after the half time, but Broun intervened. Ludogorets responded with an attack later. Marcelinho got in control of the ball, but he did not do his best. Wanderson outplayed another player and tried to score, but the keeper caught it! He tried to do the same in the 60th minute, but the Georgian keeper blocked the ball. Keseru sent the ball behind the competitor’s defense players, and Misidjan’s attempt to score did not result in a goal. The Bulgarian champion missed another chance in the 69th minute. Torpedo’s keeper failed to react to Cicinho’s powerful shot, and after Keseru decided to finish the situation, the ball went straight into the keeper’s body from about five meters.

Torpedo tried to apply some pressure on their competitor, but Nedaylkov and Moti did not allow that to happen. The champions had a few chances to use big uncovered areas left by their competitor, but the bad terrain did not allow them to.
