The goalkeeper of the Bulgarian national football team – Plamen Iliev - was transferred to Ludogorets on Friday. The management of Ludogorets and FC Astra (Giurgiu) reached an agreement. Iliev will join the team on the 13th of July in the Turkish resort Belek. The keeper will make his debut in the trial game against Botosani two days later. Iliev is the second newcomer to the team this winter. The Romanian national team member Adrian Popa came from Redding last December. Ludogorets also has a contract with the Botev (Plovdiv) midfielder Serkan Yusein.

Plamen Iliev was born on November 30 1991 in Botevgrad. His career began in Vidima-Rakovski, after which he played for Levski and the Romanian teams Botosani and Astra. Iliev is the keeper of the main team of Bulgaria, but he has also played as a part of the youth formations.
