The management of PFC Ludogorets accepted the resignation of the head coach Georgi Dermendzhiev. The coach stated his undisputable will to leave his position after the loss in the match for the Bulgarian Super Cup on Wednesday. Today PFC Ludogorets initiated urgent negotiations with a few national and foreign specialists. The club will strive to hire the new coach before the first Europa League play-off game against Suduva on 17th of August in Razgrad. Until this happens, Georgi Dermendzhiev’s assistant Petko Petkov will lead the team.

The management and everyone at PFC Ludogorets would like to thank Georgi Dermendzhiev for the joint work through the years, as well as for his empathy for the Ludogorets project since its start. Dermendzhiev has a massive contribution for the six consecutive titles, as well as for the team’s successful performance on the European scene.

The whole Ludogorets crew wishes to Georgi Dermendzhiev even more success and fulfillment in his future career. He will always be welcome on “Ludogorets Arena”.
