PFC Ludogorets Razgrad defeated Levski Sofia once again with a 1–0 victory, closing the gap to the “Blues” to 9 points with 12 rounds remaining in the championship.
The hero for the champions was Erick Marcus, who scored directly from a free kick in the 80th minute. The visitors finished the match with one player less, after striker Juan Perea received a red card for striking Dinis Almeida.
Ludogorets delivered a very strong defensive performance, not allowing a single shot on target. The “Eagles” also had an excellent second half, which could have resulted in an even more convincing victory, but chances were missed by Petar Stanic, Ivaylo Chochev, and goal scorer Erick Marcus.
Marcus later missed an incredible opportunity when he found himself one-on-one with goalkeeper Svetoslav Vutsov at 1–0 but failed to hit the target. A moment later, the assistant referee flagged for offside.
