Ludogorets Razgrad secured an extremely dramatic 2–1 win over Beroe Stara Zagora. The two teams played a high-quality and tense match in which the hosts had to complete a late comeback to avoid a painful defeat and continue the title race with PFC Levski Sofia.
In the first half, the “Eagles” missed numerous chances, with Rwan Cruz, Bernard Tekpetey, and Petar Stanic coming closest to scoring.
Shortly after the start of the second half, Beroe struck. In the 52nd minute, Alberto Salido found the net to put the visitors ahead. Before the goal, there were doubts about a possible foul in midfield and an offside situation prior to the corner from which the Stara Zagora side took the lead.
What followed was intense pressure from Ludogorets, who gradually laid siege to the opposition half and created several opportunities, including another shot off the post by Caio Vidal, while Juan Pablo Salomoni cleared an effort from Ivaylo Chochev off the goal line.
The visitors defended in an organized manner for a long time but collapsed within 180 seconds in the closing minutes. In the 84th minute, Kwadwo Duah equalized, and just three minutes later Petar Stanic completed the comeback, securing three valuable points for the “Eagles.”
