Ludogorets coach Rui Mota is optimistic about the upcoming home game against Real Betis in the second round of the Europa League group stage.
"Yes, in the Europa League we always face very good teams. Some say Betis is a very good team with a very good coach. We respect everyone, but we expect to play a very good match tomorrow," Rui Mota began.
He also commented on the Spanish side's coach – Manuel Pellegrini:
"He is a great coach with a great history behind him. I respect him a lot, and tomorrow will be a chess match. I plan for the moves to be in our favor, not theirs."
"I've said many times that in football we need to value the present. Betis is a good team with a big history, but Ludogorets also has its own history. We must approach everything positively and with good energy. The team is in good spirits, we’re working hard, and we expect to play a very good match against Betis tomorrow," Mota said about Ludogorets' past encounters with Betis, in which "the Eagles" have suffered two defeats.
"After the match in Sweden, I said that was the most consistent game Ludogorets has played. The team needed exactly such a match to feel confident and motivated. Now we have to keep developing and play more matches like that," the Ludogorets coach concluded.
