The promising U15 players from the Ludogorets academy earned a 2:2 draw in a friendly match against the older Romanian side FCSB U16. This was the second friendly for the young "Eagles" as part of their summer preparations, held at the "Eagles' Nest" training complex.
The first half was evenly matched, but in the final minutes before the break, the visitors managed to take the lead. Early in the second half, FCSB committed a foul in the penalty area, giving Ludogorets U15 a golden opportunity to equalize from the spot—but the chance was missed. Instead of drawing level, Ludogorets saw the deficit double as FCSB U16 scored a second goal.
Despite the setback, Ludogorets' youth showed strong character and clawed their way back to a draw, thanks to two well-placed goals by Yoan Yordanov. The team created several more clear scoring chances, but failed to convert, which ultimately cost them the win.
"I'm satisfied with the boys' performance, with the way they responded to the opponent's aggression, and how they carried out their tasks," said Ludogorets U15 head coach Trifon Panev. "We continue with our summer training."
