The coach of Ludogorets spoke at a press conference prior to the Ludogorets vs Tottenham Hotspur match.

“Our goal has always been to be equal to the best clubs. Every player dreams of standing against the top teams. We will try to show how fast and attractive we can play”, Genchev began.

“It is hard to surprise someone as experienced as Jose Mourinho but we will try to do so. Keseru, Despodov, and Sa are currently recovering from their injuries. I have yet to decide whether they will player tomorrow or not”, the young coach added.

“It will be an honor to compete with Mourinho. Such an experience is priceless. There is a difference in Tottenham Hotspur’s approach in the Premier League and the rest of the European tournaments. We saw all their matches in Europa League plus their last six Premier League matches. They don’t lack class at all. We will aim to win the maximum amount of points. We have injured players but some of them will come back. We need to work on every aspect of the game. There are many new players and we will try to achieve the distinctive Ludogorets style. We want to defeat Tottenham Hotspur very much, as they are part of the elite of football. This match is prestigious, as our competitors are world-famous. This is important for the club and the town as well. Winning this match will be the kind of news everyone will learn, it is what we want the most”, Genchev concluded.

“Standing against Tottenham Hotspur is a huge challenge. I have already been on the same pitch as Harry Kane and Garreth Bale. I hope we achieve a better result now”, said the defender Georgi Terziev.

“I have no concerns about the rotation of defenders. Matches are now frequent – we have one scheduled every three or four days. We train together every day and we know each other really well”, Terziev added.
