Ludogorets will compete for a prestigious European prize alongside Juventus and Chelsea

The Bulgarian champion Ludogorets was nominated for the ‘More than football’ (#MoreThanFootball) prize by the ‘European Football for Development Network’ foundation (EFDN).

The Bulgarian champion Ludogorets was nominated for the ‘More than football’ (#MoreThanFootball) prize by the ‘European Football for Development Network’ foundation (EFDN). The prize is given for social engagement achievements.

Ludogorets is part of the competition because of the #LiveFriendship campaign. It was initiated with the idea of creating a better environment for direct communication between people. The project is focused on encouraging children to meet and start friendships, as well as to lead an active life. Ludogorets created a special group for that to happen and is currently attracting volunteers willing to be part of the club’s projects. This allows everyone to have fun and to enjoy sports together instead of communicating online.

The other contenders for the prize include Juventus, Chelsea, Shakhtar, Verder and Glasgow Rangers, as well as Midtjylland, Apollon and Montrose. The nominations will be reduced to four in September. The winner will be announced on the 19th or 20th of November during the 13th annual EFDN conference in Barcelona/
