The talents of Ludogorets missed their chance to defeat Beroe in Stara Zagora and the game finished with the even 1:1 score.

The champions’ team composition was experimental and it featured four youth players – Kerchev, Yankov, Kovachev and Aleksandrov. The foreign players were Broun, Forster, Lukas Sasha, Goralski and Swierczok.

The home team tried to apply pressure on their competitor. Kamburov outplayed Forster and tried to score, but Broun intervened. The following goal situations were in front of Pernis’ gate. Aleksandrov was able to pass to Swierczok who was alone against the keeper, but the Polish player did not handle the ball well. Later Panov passed the ball low and it went to Swierczok, but his kick was blocked by Vidanov.

Kamburov shot dangerously from the foul point in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ten minutes later Yankov, who was born in Canada, showed his potential after outsmarting Beroe’s defense, but he sent the ball straight into Pernis’ body. The best situation for Beroe in the first half occurred when Brigido was alone against Ludogorets’ defense and he made an attempt to score after receiving a pass from Zhelev. This attempt was no match for Broun’s skills.

The second half began with a situation in front of Beroe’s gate. Lukas Sasha went ahead and sent a powerful shot towards Pernis who had a hard time saving it. The keeper had to prevent another goal soon after that, because Swierczok kicked the ball towards his gate. Yankov nearly scored his debut goal in the First league in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the woodwork.

The coach of Beroe Aleksandar Tomash decided to set his players in attack mode and replaced the midfielder Zhelev with the attacker Negrut. Ludogorets scored in the 65th minute, after Yankov passed to Aleksandrov. The young talent showed skills and scored after the ball made a ricochet in the gate beam. However, the home team managed to make the score even after a combination between Adamovic, Tsonec and Negrut was successful and the ball went to Kamburov, who found it easy to score his 203rd goal in First league.

After that Swierczok had the chance to score and secure the win, but despite outplaying the defense of Beroe, he cut his angle a bit and Pernis was able to catch the ball. Swierczok tried again immediately after that, but the keeper did his job once again.
