Ludogorets started the spring part of the football championship with a win. The champions beat Spartak (Varna) 2:1 in the sea capital and took first place in the standings. Kiril Despodov opened the scoring in the 8th minute. He intercepted Igor Thiago's cross into the goal. The latter made it 2-0 17 minutes later after picking up Bernard Tekpetey's pass from the right. Ludogorets had a few more clear chances in the first half, but Despodov and Thiago missed.

After the break, the hosts pulled one back through Luan in the 57th minute. And then they made it difficult for the champions and goalkeeper Sergio Padt to defend on several occasions. In turn, Ludogorets also had good opportunities to score a third goal, but the home goalkeeper Figueiredo saved.

Ludogorets' next match is against Slavia.
