The new Ludogorets coach Valdas Dambrauskas guided his new team toward the first win in 2021. The champions defeated 2:1 Backa Topola. Mladen Krastaic’s team is eight in the overall rating of their domestic championship.

Ludogorets took the lead in the 7th minute when Ikoko passed to Tekpetey and he scored. Tchibota almost added a second goal seconds later.

The Serbian team applied pressure and created three goal situations. Zec was as close to scoring a goal as possible but Renan saved. Ludogorets added a second goal later after Tekpetey scored again.

Seconds later, Becka Topola scored after Stanoev outplayed Renan. The Serbian team had the chance to make the score even later but the keeper saved once again.

Dambrauskas replaced all the players in the second half and chose Yordanov as one of the left midfielders. Stoyanov and Hristov were the only players to not enter the pitch. Manu, Wanderson, and Marin are still treating their injuries. Despodov passed the ball to Grigore in the 84th minute but the ball was kicked outside.
