Ludogorets has completed a major outgoing transfer. The 14-time Bulgarian champions and Italian side Udinese successfully finalized negotiations for the transfer of Jakub Piotrowski. The Polish international, who played his last match in the green jersey in the 3:1 win over Rijeka, is already in Udine, where he underwent medical examinations and fitness tests. In the coming days, he will be officially presented at the “Friuli” stadium. Several other top European clubs also showed interest in Piotrowski, but Udinese made the best offer.

This marks yet another strong outgoing transfer by Ludogorets in the past seven months, following the record sales of Rick Jonathan to Talleres de Cordoba and Rwan Cruz to Botafogo.

After nearly three years with the club—having joined from Germany’s Fortuna in July 2022—Piotrowski played 145 matches, scored 28 goals, and provided 21 assists across all competitions, winning 3 league titles, 2 Bulgarian Cups, and 3 Super Cups. His strong performances with Ludogorets earned him a place in the Polish national team, with which he made appearances at Euro 2024.

"I’m proud to have played for Ludogorets and to have won so many trophies. I’m leaving behind a great team and many friends in the squad and in Razgrad. I believe the club will continue to achieve great success in Bulgaria and in Europe," said Piotrowski.

Thank you, Jakub! We wish you success at Udinese!
