Ludogorets and Levski make a draw 2:2

12 May 2018

Ludogorets and Levski achieved an even 2:2 score in the game on Saturday night, which ended with the award ceremony of the new champions. “The Eagles” took the lead twice after Keseru scored from the penalty point and Belaid scored an own goal, and Prochazka and Cabral were able to catch up for Levski

The main composition of Ludogorets was the best possible one. Levski had more problems because some players had injuries and penalties, and the coach Delio Rosi chose to leave Paulinho, Nascimento and Vutov as replacements.

The champions took the initiative and had the chance to score in the second minute. Belaid intercepted an attempt by Wanderson and the ball hit the crossbar. The home team went ahead after that. Jablonski fouled Natanael in the penalty zone, and Keseru scored his 26th goal this season. The goal brought a relief for the team and they returned to their half. Kostov from Levski was dangerously close in the 11th minute and passed to Obertan in the last second, but Natanael intervened. A little later Obertan was able to steal the ball from Ludogorets’ midfielders and decided to try his luck, and he sent the ball into the corner after a slight ricochet. Ludogorets scored another goal after Keseru was accurate again in the 24th minute. However, the referee Georgi Kabakov dismissed the goal because the Romanian fouled the keeper Mitrev. The replays clearly showed that the keeper let the ball loose after Natanael’s kick, and Keseru got to it first. Kostov received a nice pass in the 30th minute, but he sent the ball straight into Broun’s hands. Kostov had another chance immediately after that, but this time the ball went into the right gate beam. Ten minutes later Misidjan attacked from the left, but Belaid intervened and kicked the ball out.

After the half-time Levski had more courage because there was nothing more to lose. However, the first serious situation was in front of their gate. Natanael received a pass after a foul and sent a powerful shot, but the ball went over the crossbar. The champions missed another goal in the 57th minute when Misidjan received a diagonal pass and he attempted to score while he caught the ball in the air. Prochazka sent a dangerous shot two minutes later, sending the ball about half a meter outside the left gate beam. The same player did the same thing a few minutes later, but this time the ball went pass the right side of the gate. Levski continued to push thing. Broun saved Panayotov;s shot in the 66th minutes, and eight minutes later Levski made the score even.Prochazka gradually initiated an attack which involved Rivaldinho and Obertan; the last one returned the ball to the Slovakian player and he scored via a split. Moments later Obertan injured his knee and was replaced by Paulinho. Levski almost turned the tables on Ludogorets in the 78th minute, but Panov proved quicker than Cabral and sent the ball into the corner. Ten minutes before the end the youth player Yankov made his debut with the first team after he replaced Wanderson. Belaid scored an own goal in the 85th minute out of the blue. The central defender cleared a shot by Natanel, but the ball made a ricochet in the gate beam and went behind the goal line. Cabral was able to make the score even a couple of minutes before the end after Paulinho passed the ball to him and he scored.

The players, coach team and management of Ludogorets were awarded with the gold medals and the cup after the game.
