The head coach of Ludogorets Razgrad, Per-Mathias Hogmo, spoke to the media ahead of the playoff clash against Ferencvarosi TC in the UEFA Europa League. The match is scheduled for tomorrow at 22:00 at Huvepharma Arena.
As previously reported, the two teams have already met three times this season — drawing 0–0 and losing 0–3 in the Champions League qualifiers, as well as suffering a 1–3 defeat in the Europa League group stage.
“Every match is different. Over the past few weeks, we have worked on all aspects of our game. We have a strong squad. Everyone is fit,” Hogmo began.
“We are truly looking forward to the match. I can see that we are improving in making runs behind the defense. We have a lot of movement both with and without the ball, which is important against a team like Ferencváros that plays a lot of one-on-one defense. So we are definitely looking forward to the game,” the Norwegian added.
“There is definitely a chance. We need to be at our best in all aspects of the game. As I said, we feel confident. We score a lot of goals against European teams. We need to use our strengths, but of course we are playing against a good team. They have good results, good players, and a good coach. They have been strong in recent matches, but this one is different. We are happy to play at home again. I hope many people will come to support us. We have great fans. Even though it is a bit snowy today, tomorrow will be better. I hope many people come to watch us,” Hogmo said.
He also revealed that he had spoken in the morning with the head coach of FK Bodo/Glimt, who are facing Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League this evening. “I told him that today we have more snow in Razgrad than in Bodo, but at the club we are ready to prepare the pitch in excellent condition.”
