
Englishman John Phillips has been appointed fitness coach of Ludogorets. The Briton becomes part of the staff of the new head coach Per-Mathias Hogmo.
John Phillips is a highly qualified specialist with rich international experience. Most recently, he worked as the head and overseer of the conditioning process for the teams in the Red Bull Soccer group, where his superiors were Jurgen Klopp and Mario Gomez. He has also served as the head of scientific and training activities at the English Football Association. Phillips has significant experience with club teams as well. Between 2020 and 2022, he was part of the Russian club FC Krasnodar, and before that he worked at Malmo, Al Ahli, Queens Park Rangers, Nantong Zhiyun, and Southampton. His professional career began at the South English club, where he participated in the development of numerous players who later became world stars — Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott, Nathan Dyer, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
