Ludogorets has made another strong signing this summer by bringing in experienced right-back Joel Andersson from Danish giants Midtjylland. The two clubs successfully finalized negotiations, and the Swedish international passed his medical without issues. He has already joined his new teammates in training.

Andersson is a player with extensive international experience. Born on November 11, 1996, in Gothenburg, Sweden, he began his career with Vastra, then moved to Hacken, where he made 107 appearances and scored 4 goals. In 2018, he transferred to Midtjylland, where over seven seasons he played an impressive 221 matches and scored 6 goals. The defender has featured for all levels of the Swedish national team, including the senior side, for which he has 9 caps.

“I’m happy with this transfer. I know Ludogorets well, and I can say it’s a club of very high caliber,” said Andersson upon signing his contract.

An interesting fact: Andersson started for Midtjylland in all four matches against Ludogorets in European competitions in recent years.

The Swede becomes Ludogorets' third summer signing, following the arrivals of Stanislav Ivanov from Arda and Filip Kaloc from Kaiserslautern.
