The elite players of Ludogorets U15 did not give up and secured a draw against the Romanian opponents from FCSB (Bucharest). In one of their final friendly matches of the winter training, the young "Eagles" finished 1:1 on home turf at the "Eagle's Nest" complex.
The Ludogorets youth team controlled the game throughout the match. Despite dominating possession for the majority of the time, they struggled to create goal-scoring opportunities in front of the opponent's goal. As a result, they were trailing 0:1 at halftime after a collective defensive error and a mistake by the goalkeeper. Despite missing players from their lineup, the hosts showed their skills and managed to equalize. The equalizer came from Aleksandar Aleksandrov, who scored a header following a cross from the left and a scramble in the penalty area. There were additional chances for the young "Eagles" to turn the game in their favor, but they were unable to capitalize on them in the best way, and the match ended in a 1:1 draw.
"I am satisfied with the boys, but there is still room for improvement in the final third, including during our preparation for the upcoming first match of the spring season," commented Ludogorets U15 coach Svetlin Ivanov.
In the first official match of the second half of the season in the U15 Elite Championship, the young "Eagles" will host Etar (Veliko Tarnovo) at home. The match is scheduled for next Saturday.
