Ludogorets has completed a record transfer in his history. The “Eagles” sold forward Rwan Cruz to the champion of Brazil and Copa Libertadores holder, Botafogo. The management of the Bulgarian champion and one of the leading clubs in Latin America successfully finalised the deal, while Rwan underwent medical examinations at his new club in Rio de Janeiro.

Rwan Cruz’s transfer to Botafogo is a huge success for the scouting department, the sports and the technical management and the club as a whole.

“In Ludogorets, I won the first trophies of my career. I thank the club for everything. I will always remain one of you.” stated Rwan Cruz.

The forward joined Ludogorets in July 2023 from another Brazilian giant, Santos, but was loaned to Vasco da Gama before coming to Bulgaria. In a year and a half, Rwan Cruz played 83 matches for Ludogorets across all competitions, scoring 30 goals and providing 12 assists.

This is the second major transfer for the thirteen-time champions for this winter. A month ago, Rick Jonathan was sold to Argentine vice-champion Talleres de Cordoba.
