Ludogorets sold striker Igor Thiago to Belgian club Club Brugge for a record breaking transfer fee for Bulgaria. The 12-time champions retain a percentage of the rights to the Brazilian, who scored 21 goals in 55 appearances for the Eagles in all competitions. Brugge, who reached the round of 16 in the last edition of the Champions League, will today officially announce the deal and introduce Igor Thiago.

"I remain the biggest fan of Ludogorets. I am parting with many friends in the city, whom I hope to see again one day. I had a great time in Ludogorets and I am happy that I became a champion twice and won more cups," said Igor Thiago.

The Brazilian was introduced to Ludogorets in February 2022 by Brazilian giant Cruzeiro. In less than a year and a half, Igor Thiago showed great efficiency by scoring 21 goals and making 11 assists in 55 games (3290 minutes).

The Brazilian became the next Ludogorets player to be transferred to a strong club from Western Europe after Junior Caicara (Schalke 04), Jose Luis Palomino (Atalanta) and Jonathan Cafu (Bordeaux).

PFC Ludogorets wishes Igor Thiago success in his new club!
