Ludogorets turned around the game with Levski from 0:1 to 2:1 in round 16 of the SESAME Cup of Bulgaria and thus dethroned the "blue ones" , who won the trophy in May. All three goals came in the second half.

Welton gave the visitors the lead in the 61st minute when he scored from close range. Eight minutes later, Igor Thiago equalized for the Eagles with his first touch. Eleven minutes before the end, Bernard Tekpetey scored for the complete turnaround in favor of the Bulgarian champions.

At the very end of the match, after VAR's intervention, referee Georgi Davidov gave a penalty to Levski after Olivier Verdon was seen handballing. Behind the ball stood Jose Cordoba, whose shot was high in the out.
