Ludogorets’ defender, Olivier Verdon, was proclaimed the #1 player in Benin for the 2021/2022 season. This was the result of a questionnaire submitted by thousands of journalists and fans. The results were announced on Sunday. The player’s first place is a serious recognition for his status. Steve Mounie from Brest was second, followed by the Zurich midfielder Tosin Aiyegun.
“I am happy to win this prize. I want to thank everyone who voted for me”, said Verdon. He is part of Benin’s national football team.
