Ludogorets missed Slavia in Sofia – second draw for Ludogorets in the championship. A 0-0 draw for the Champions, visiting Slavia in Sofia. The loss of two points took “the eagles” down from the top of the A PFG rank list, and Levski, having won 2-0 against Botev Vratsa, is now having the sole possession of first place. Ivaylo Petev’s boys kept the ball almost the entire time, while Martin Kushev had chosen for his team a defending tactics deep in their half. Ludogorets’s coach was unable to use the captain Emil Gargorov, which seriously affected the way the eagles were playing. His place in the starting eleven was taken by Quixada, who got substituted at the break.

The team had their first chance to score in the 30th minute. A corner kick led to chaos in Slavia’s penalty box, Miroslav Ivanov reached the ball, but he shot inches away from the goal. Seconds later, after another corner kick, Cosmin Moti took a shot with head, but Georgi Petkov saved. With that, the clear goal scoring opportunities for the first half time have ended.

During the second half time Ludogorets pressured even more, while the white team was counting on counter attacks. In one of those, in the 61st minute, Zdravko Lazarov assisted perfectly the substitute Akiyoshi. The Japanese player took a shot but Cvorovic cleared it out. There were several situations in favour of the Champions by the end of the match, which could’ve had decided the score. The best ones were missed by Miroslav Ivanov and the substitute Franck Guela. Ivanov’s direct free kick ended in the wall, a meter away from the penalty box line. Guela, on the other hand, couldn’t net the ball after a Yordan Minev’s sensational pass from the right.
