The Movember campaign started in 1999 when 80 men lay its foundations. A fundraiser is established in 2004. The money is used to raise awareness worldwide. A chain reaction of local events across the globe followed. The motto is simple: “Let’s change the face of men’s health”.
Movember comes from the English jargon word mo (short for moustache) and the name of the month of November. Men stop shaving the whole month and leave a moustache.
