“Our mood is great. It feels incredible to be just one win away from the title”, said Despodov for the club website. “It was not that difficult of a season but there was a moment when the competitors were just six points away from us. We cemented our position our defeating CSKA in Razgrad”.
Here is how Despodov described his performance. “I am not in top shape and I could have done a lot more for Ludogorets. The people at the club know this. I performed average but my goal was for the team to become champion again and to achieve success in the European tournaments. I miss scoring goals but I compensate with assisting”.
Despodov compared Ludogorets to his former foreign clubs – Calgary and Sturm. “The club base and the conditions are amazing here. We have all we need to develop professional careers. Ludogorets is comparable to European teams and can compete with leading clubs”.
