Ludogorets and the team of Karabakh, which is part of the UEFA Champions League group phase, achieved an even 1:1 score in the trial game between the two teams in Austria. The Bulgarian champion team almost got the win, but Keseru missed a penalty shot.
Swierczok scored in the 36th minute, and Quintana made the score even in the 52nd minute. Keseru missed the penalty shot sixteen minutes later.
The game took place at the ‘Kossen’ stadium. Unlike this game, Ludogorets won the first one in Austria with a 2:1 score, defeating Wacker.
‘The Eagles’ began with a more rapid pace and were able to attack the other team’s gate twice within the first minutes. Lukoki and Swierczok’s attempts were not accurate enough.
Mitchel was able to send a powerful shot from afar in the 15th minute, but the keeper Naumov was lucky because the ball went flying near the woodwork.
Marcelinho passed to Swierczok who was alone against the keeper, but the Polish scorer hesitated for a while. However, Swierczok was able to score in his second attempt after he received a pass from Marcelinho and the Karabakh keeper had no chance to save.
The head manager of Ludogorets Paulo Autuori changed the team composition and replaced almost all of the players, leaving only Natanael, Marcelinho and Moti.
The game began with a dangerous situation in front of the Bulgarian team’s gate, but it was a miss.
Karabakh’s player Quintana was able to score in the 52nd minute after Wanderson made a mistake and lost the control over the ball in front of the penalty zone, and left no chance for Renan to save.
Marcelinho made an attempt a few minutes later, but it was from afar and off the target.
Wanderson entered the penalty zone in the 68th minute and a Karabakh player stopped him with his arm, and a penalty followed. Keseru performed the shot, but he failed to score, because the ball hit the woodwork after the Karabakh keeper diverted its trajectory.
Another couple of situations in front of both gates followed. Joao Paulo attempted a goal, but the keeper showed good reflexes and saved. Karabakh also tried their luck, but Renan intervened accurately.
