Magical, extraordinary, amazing – these are just some of the words that can be used to describe Ludogorets’ powerful performance in last night’s game. Such a 5:1 win is a dream for any other Bulgarian team.

This is how Ludogorets entered the group H fight. Lukoki created the first situation in the 7th minute but the goal met the woodwork. Wanderson tried to correct the situation but he sent the ball out. The Russians scored in the 11th minute when Diveev left no chance for Renan to save. Ludogorets immediately applied pressure on the competitor. Marcelinho almost scored in the 15th minute but the legendary keeper Akifeev saved. Nedyalkov passed to Keseru next, and the Romanian tried his best, but the keeper stopped him. Marcelinho’s next attempt ended with the ball flying out. CSKA Moscow had another chance to score in the 33rd minute, but Renan stopped the ball sent by Fernandez.

The second half was phenomenal for Ludogorets. Cicinho was blocked in the 48th minute but Wanderson stole the ball and the keeper was not able to prevent the goal. Only a couple of minutes later, the tables were turned. Nedyalkov passed to Lukoki who scored the second goal for Ludogorets. After a long pass from Wanderson, Keseru picked up the ball in mid-air and scored for 3:1! Keseru scored again after a pass from Nedyalkov in the 68th minutes. The Romanian player made hattrick just five minutes later when the scored from the penalty point after Akinfeev fouled Matcelinho. The 5:1 win was the first of its kind against a Russian team in Bulgaria. The game between Espanyol and Ferencvaros ended with an even 1:1 score.
